If there are some things you need/prefer to do at 1080p, you won't be brutalized by lowering the resolution. I would love to have a 1440P screen on my GP76, a full power 3070 (Especially post Undervolt+Overclock and with Tuning) will be able to handle it with nearly any title at max settings and with good fps. If you are already getting such high specs i don't think it's likely that a 1440P will be a negative for you regardless of your use case. ![]() Only things like bigger battery, more rgb, and better port selection (USB-c). Combined with Undervolting and some tuning, there are few laptops that will provide better cooling.Īs far as i know the more expensive Raider versions have no cooling advantage over their GP counterpart. GenTechPC had free Liquid Metal Thermal Grizzly Conductonaut for Cpu which should be much better than the stock thermal paste, and FujiPoly Extreme Thermal Pads to help out as well. From what i know the stock sticks are decently fast and can also be tuned for better timings in the hidden bios. If you order from them or another reseller like HidEvolution or XoticPC you can upgrade the Ram to 32gb (or remove the ram entirely for a discount if you want to buy your own 32gb sticks). (Unless you are willing to lose preformance). TLDR: undervolting your CPU isnt worth it, undervolting your GPU however is something worth looking into. My GP76 is arriving from GenTechPc in a few hours. You are better off with downloading MSI afterburner to undervolt your gpu, that in combination with the undervolt gave me 3☌ lower temps, 3-5 more fps and the fan noice however stayed the same.
